Controller

As a Controller at Lindner Dental Associates, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the practice, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.
  • Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance.
  • Manage relationships with CPA, external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Controller, preferably in a dental office or healthcare setting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
  • Knowledge of dental industry financial practices is a plus.

Working Conditions

Encounter clinical and office environment in work routine. Variable degrees of mental and physical stress; variable amounts of standing, sitting and walking. Exposure to blood, body fluids and contaminates is possible (clinicians). Frequent intervals devoted to keyboard manipulation for imputing and retrieving data. Limited physical activity related to moving, lifting, and transporting objects.

Physical Requirements

Must be in good physical condition and able to withstand the stress and demands of an active
practice. Must be able to endure long hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and adequate vision and hearing are needed in daily work.
